I’m excited to announce the latest cool things in which I get to be involved:

You can sign up now for my workshop on Researching and Writing Historical Fiction. We’ll discuss useful practices for conducting historical research and ways to incorporate research into a novel or story to create compelling character and authentic scene. The workshop will meet at the Midwest Writing Center in Davenport on Saturday, October 17, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. You can find out about other great MWC workshop offerings and events here.

Word has it that I will get to join some fabulous talent in the SPECTRA Reading Series on Thursday, October 29. An honor, to be sure. The event starts at 8:00 pm at Rozz-Tox, 2108 3rd Avenue Rock Island, IL.

Following that fun, I’ll be on a panel for the Writer’s Workshop at West Liberty Public Library held on Saturday, November 7. This is a wonderful chance for local authors to meet, mingle, and learn from one another. I’ll be talking about historical fiction again and I can’t wait.
